The avocado gives this Smoothie a creamy texture & adds loads of vitamins, antioxidants and some fiber! This recipe is also dairy free, gluten free and low glycemic (it won’t cause problems with blood sugar). Enjoy!

Yields: 2 servings
1 cup strawberries, green tops and centres removed
2 kiwi, peeled and stem end removed – cut into 1″ pieces
1/2 or 1 avocado, peeled and seed removed
1/8 long english cucumber, unpeeled – cut into 1″ chunks
2 stalks celery – cut into 1″ pieces
1 stalk of kale – use only the leaf, not the stem
2 cups coconut water or filtered tap
1 1/2 scoops of pumpkin protein powder (use the scoop that comes with the product)
2 Tbsp ground chia seeds
1 Tbsp hemp hearts
Put all ingredients in the blender or food processor in the order listed.
(Note: the softest ingredients are put into the blender first to help the foods start to puree easily. The protein powder and hemp seeds can be added after the mixture has started to liquify)
Add more coconut water or water if your smoothie is too thick.
